Grow Up !? - adult shall I later is an American film drama from the year 2014 with Keira Knightley in the lead role.
action
Ten years after high school, Megan Samuels is still with boyfriend Anthony and very close friends with her high school friends Allison, Savannah and Danielle.
She works as a temporary employee in her father's tax office and is still unsure of what to do in her life. At her friend's wedding, longtime boyfriend Anthony wants to propose to her. Megan can stop him, however.
By chance, Megan is approached by the young Annika Hunter to buy alcohol for her and her friends. Megan spends a few hours with Annika and her friends and forgets her friend's wedding. She comes back to her boyfriend's house late at night and the two make plans for an impromptu wedding.
Megan lets her boyfriend persuade her to attend a personality seminar. On the way there, Megan is surprisingly called by Annika and asked to mime Annika's mother during a parenting interview at school, and Megan agrees. Annika's teacher is concerned that she is not caring enough about her future and would like to work out a plan with Annika and her mother. Megan is able to convince Annika's teacher that she will take care of it as her mother.
Instead of going to a personality seminar as announced, Megan decides to spend the week with Annika. They go to a party together and come back very late and Annika smuggles Megan into her room. However, Annika's father Craig realizes that someone else is there and confronts Megan. However, he allows her to stay with them for the night. She also spends the next few days with Annika and her father and she even drives Annika to see her mother. Annika's mother confesses to Megan that she was overwhelmed with the role of mother for Annika and that she left Annika and her father because of that.
By chance, Megan and Annika meet Megan's girlfriend Allison. After some persuasion, she promises not to betray Megan to Anthony. One evening, Craig and Megan go out for a drink and then kiss. The next morning, Annika sees Craig and Megan kissing. Annika is confused about this and talks to Megan about it. When Annika later by chance finds Anthony's engagement ring in Megan's pocket, she thinks that Megan was only playing with Annika's father.
On the way back from the mall, Patrick and Megan, Annika and their friends have an accident in the car. Before the police even come, Patrick confesses that he's drunk. Megan therefore tells the police that she drove herself. Since she drank a lot of alcohol the night before and was given a strong alcoholic hangover antidote from Craig in the morning, there is still evidence of alcohol in her. She is arrested for being drunk driving. Craig is going to jail to get her out of there. She confesses to him that she is engaged and will get married in a few days. Thereupon Craig leaves the prison. Megan is released quickly because the amount of alcohol was very low.
Megan returns to Anthony. Shortly before the planned departure for the Las Vegas wedding, Megan realizes she and Anthony have stuck in the past, and she ends their relationship with Anthony. Megan drives to Craig and asks him for a second chance.
