Guilherm Deulofeu (born May 22, 1972 in Marseille ) is a former French beach volleyball player .

Career

After Deulofeu had completed his first open tournaments with Eric Meucci, he formed a duo with Eric Guissart in 1996 and reached ninth place in the 1996 World Series in Lignano Sabbiadoro . A year later, Deulofeu / Guissart finished 17th at the World Championships in Los Angeles . The same result came at the World Cup in Marseille . At the subsequent European Championship in Palma , the two French came in 13th place. They separated at the end of 2000.

At the Grand Slam in his hometown, Deulofeu returned in 2001 with his new partner Ogier Molinier . At the EM 2002 Deulofeu / Molinier retired early after two defeats against the Latvians Grīnbergs / Krūmiņš and the German duo Ahmann / Hager . Against the same opponents they lost a year later in Alanya , where they failed to win a set in the preliminary round. At the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro , they did not get beyond the group games either. They were more successful the next year when they were only defeated by the Spaniards Bosma / Herrera in the second round of the European Championship in Timmendorfer Strand . A little later, they parted ways.

After he started with changing partners, Deulofeu formed a new duo with Yannick Salvetti in 2005 . In 2007 Deulofeu / Salvetti failed as the bottom of the group at the World Cup in Gstaad . However, they then reached ninth place in several open tournaments. They also achieved this result at the 2008 European Championships in Hamburg , when they had to admit defeat to the Germans Brink / Dieckmann and the Russians Barsuk / Kolodinski , who later finished third and fourth. With the following Grand Slam in Gstaad , Deulofeus ended his international career.
