Gustav Nowak

Gustav Nowak (born August 17, 1846 in Drum / district of Böhmisch-Leipa , † May 23, 1921 in Böhmisch-Kamnitz / district of Tetschen ) was an Austrian politician , local researcher and pharmacist .

Life

Gustav Nowak was born in Drum in 1846 as the son of a brewer. After attending the Augustiner grammar school in Bohemian-Leipa, Gustav Nowak studied pharmacy from 1867 to 1869 at the Philosophical Faculty of the German Charles University in Prague . During his studies, which he completed in 1869 with a Master of Pharmacy, he was first Konkneipant the fraternity Carolina to Prague , however, these left and was in the winter semester 1868/69 fraternity Thessalia Prague active.

Since 1871 pharmacist in Laun / Böhmen and since 1875 in Bohemian-Kamnitz, in 1889 he became head of the Leitmeritz district pharmacist committee.

Committed in the field of homeland security and local history, he was active in numerous German clubs and associations in the field of national politics, for example since 1882 as chairman of the local branch Böhmisch-Kamnitz of the German school association , in the German gymnastics club , in the health and poor sector and as an employee of the communications of the North Bohemian Association for local research and hiking care .

His political career began in 1878 in the local local parliament and in 1897 went to the Austrian national parliament, the Reichsrat .
