Gustav von Rotteck

Gustav von Rotteck (born June 16, 1822 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † August 8, 1893 there ) was a German administrative officer, judge and parliamentarian.

Life

Gustav von Rotteck, son of the court counselor and professor Karl von Rotteck , attended grammar school in Freiburg from 1833 to 1842. He then studied law at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg and the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg until 1845 . In 1842 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Freiburg . In 1846 he was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD and started as a legal intern at the Freiburg City Office. Subsequently, he was a legal intern and actuary at the Bühl district office and a legal intern at the Freiburg Landamt and the Radolfzell and Meßkirch district offices . In 1849 he was appointed by the revolutionary government as a provisional head of the district office of Meßkirch . After the suppression of the Baden Revolution , he was suspended from work until 1853. He was then reactivated as a legal trainee at the Schopfheim district office and was at the court court of the Upper Rhine District in Freiburg until 1856, at the Wolfach district office until 1857 and at the Ettenheim district court until 1858 . From 1858 to 1860 he was secretary and then until 1862 assessor in the government of the Upper Rhine District . In 1862 he became a district judge at the Müllheim district court , in 1864 a district judge at the Offenburg district court , in 1868 a district court director at the Baden-Baden district court and in 1872 a district court director and chairman of the Freiburg district and court court. In 1879 he came to the Freiburg Regional Court as Regional Court Director, of which he was President from 1882 until his death in 1893.

Gustav von Rotteck was from 1878 to 1879 for the electoral district 18. II. (Constituency of the city of Freiburg) a member of the Second Chamber and from 1887 to 1892 the Grand Duke appointed a member of the First Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly .
