Gustavo Rodríguez Vega

Gustavo Rodríguez Vega (born March 7, 1955 in Monterrey , Mexico ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and Archbishop of Yucatán .

Life

Gustavo Rodriguez Vega was ordained a priest on August 15, 1980 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Obba and auxiliary bishop in Monterrey on June 27, 2001 . He was ordained episcopate on August 14th of the same year by the Archbishop of Monterrey, Cardinal Adolfo Antonio Suárez Rivera ; Co- consecrators were Giuseppe Bertello , Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico , and Miguel Ángel Alba Díaz , Bishop of La Paz en la Baja California Sur .

He was appointed Bishop of Nuevo Laredo on October 8, 2008, and was introduced to the office on November 19 of the same year.

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Yucatán on June 1, 2015 . The inauguration took place on July 29 of the same year.
