Gutiérrez is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Gutiérrez is the central place of the canton Gutiérrez in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Gutiérrez in the province of Cordillera . The village is located at an altitude of 945 m on one of the eastern promontories of the Bolivian Cordillera Oriental , which rises east of the village in a north-south direction to an altitude of 1500 m .

Gutiérrez is located at a distance of 214 kilometers by road south of Santa Cruz , the capital of the department of the same name.
From Santa Cruz, the paved road Ruta 9 leads south via Cabezas and Ipitá to Gutiérrez and on via Villamontes to Yacuiba on the Bolivian border with Argentina .
In addition, nine kilometers north of Gutiérrez in Ipitá, the unpaved route 22 branches off in a northerly direction from route 9 and leads over 250 kilometers on the way via Masicurí and Vallegrande to Mataral in the province of Florida .
