The Härter Group (spelling: HÄRTER) is a German manufacturer of stamping, bent and drawn parts as well as stamping tools , with locations in Germany, Poland, the USA and China. The group of companies employs around 1500 people worldwide and is made up of Härter Stanztechnik GmbH & Co. KGaA, Härter Werkzeugbau GmbH, Härter Logistik GmbH and Karl-Heinz Müller GmbH & Co. KG.

history

Härter Werkzeugbau GmbH was founded in Ispringen in 1964 by Wolfgang Härter . Due to the increased product volume, Härter Werkzeugbau GmbH was relocated to a new production building in Königsbach-Stein in 1977 . This was followed in 1989 by the expansion of the production area through the expansion of the production area and a new administration building. In 1999 the product area stamped parts production was spun off and expanded to include the areas of packaging and assembly. This led to the establishment of Härter Stanztechnik GmbH. The following year the first international company, Härter Stamping LLC in Michigan ( USA ), was founded.

In 2002 the area of ​​the headquarters in Königsbach-Stein was expanded to 25,000 m². In addition, the transport and logistics center was founded and the training center opened. In 2004 the product portfolio was expanded to include metal-plastic technology . In the same year, Härter Technika Wytlaczania Sp. Z oosp.k. in Legnica ( Poland ) and the Härter Asia Dongguan Limited in Dongguan ( China ) company was founded. This was followed by the introduction of the TS 16949 certification at the headquarters and, in 2008, the expansion of metal-plastic technology (hybrid technology) at all locations.

In 2011, Wolfgang Härter took over as CEO of the Härter Group. Martin Härter has been appointed Managing Director of the Härter Group. In 2012, the Härter Group received the award of Preferred Supplier to the Bosch Group , INA and Schneider Electric . In the following year, the location in Poland was expanded. Due to the high demand for metal-plastic technology, this area was expanded at the company's headquarters in Königsbach-Stein. In 2018 the Härter Group expands with Karl-Heinz Müller GmbH & Co. KG. The inauguration of the new logistics center in Königsbach-Stein will also follow in 2018 .

Germany

The headquarters of the Härter Group in Königsbach-Stein is located on an area of ​​42,888 m² and consists of the three companies Härter Werkzeugbau GmbH, Härter Stanztechnik GmbH & Co. KGaA and Härter Logistik GmbH. A total of 910 employees and 50 trainees are employed at this location.

Karl-Heinz Müller GmbH & Co. KG in Balingen has been part of the Härter Group since 2018 and employs 70 people. Here are injection molds manufactured.

United States

The establishment of the production site in Michigan in 1999 represents the first step towards international positioning. There are 70 employees in Michigan.

Poland

The production site in Legnica was founded in 2004 and is today, after the headquarters in Königsbach-Stein, the largest company in the Härter Group with around 350 employees.

China

The location in Dongguan was also founded in 2004. There are currently around 110 employees.

Stamping and forming technology

The Härter Group develops and produces stamped, bent and drawn parts for the stamping and forming technology sectors . For the production of these parts, the Härter Group has 130 automatic punching machines with tonnages of 25 - 400 t.

Metal-plastic technology

In the field of metal-plastic technology, punched parts can be overmoulded with plastic either on a strip or individually. Furthermore, multi-pole connector strips and assembled assemblies are produced . These components are manufactured on more than 40 injection molding assembly lines.

Mold and tool making

In the area of ​​mold and tool construction, the Härter Group develops, designs and builds complex tools. Furthermore, the entire value chain can take place in the company's own mechanical engineering.

Press-fit technology

For press-fit technology , the Härter Group can produce two different types of press-fit zones, the Härter Compliant Press-Fit Zone HCP and the EloPin®-HCP. The Härter Group uses the press-fit zones for single pin insertion (SPI), connectors as well as housings and assemblies with contact pins.

Cooperations and sponsoring

The Härter Group is a member of the Hochform corporate network and the Chambers of Crafts in Karlsruhe and Pforzheim . It also cooperates with the WVIB, the trade association for industrial companies in Baden . In addition, the Härter Group u. a.
