The Häuselloh nature reserve is located in the town of Selb in the Wunsiedel district in the Fichtelgebirge in Upper Franconia .
The area extends southeast of the core town of Selb. The Lausenbach flows to the west , the state border with the Czech Republic runs not far to the east, and the approximately 40 hectare Hengstberg natural forest reserve extends to the south .

Since 1979, an area of around 69 hectares has been designated as a nature reserve for Selb under the identification number NSG-00115.01. It is a former bog with uncinate pines bog forest .
