The Hühnerbach is a 25 km long orographically right tributary of the Gennach in Bavaria .

Surname

The name of the chicken brook is probably derived from the wild chicken .

It used to be called the Große Gennach because the Gennach is the shorter river up to the confluence with the Hühnerbach.

The Hühnerbach rises near the municipality of Rettenbach am Auerberg in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu . From there it runs north towards Bidingen . It flows strictly in a northerly direction through several communities until it finally flows into the Gennach after 25 kilometers in the Jengener district of Ummenhofen .
