history

The beginnings

The tunnel was already in operation in 1725. In 1750, work began on driving a second tunnel . This year around 13 barrels of hard coal were mined per day. The trades of the tunnel was the merchant and glass manufacturer Hermann Albert Hünninghausen. In 1772 Abraham Hünninghaus claimed the tunnel from the mining authority . According to Abraham Hünninghaus the tunnel was on 20 April of the year 1745 to his father Hermann Albrecht Hünninghausen awarded Service. At the time of the award, the lent pit field had the dimensions of a treasure trove plus four dimensions . Abraham Hünninghaus wanted to put the tunnel back into operation. On November 8 of the same year, Abraham Hünninghaus and his brother also applied for the right to inherit the tunnel. On December 21, 1773, the right to inheritance was granted . In the years 1777 and 1778 the coal was delivered over the Ruhr to Kleve . In the years 1781 and 1782, 16,678 ringlets were mined. In 1783 the new tunnel, which was driven in an easterly direction, reached a length of 55 Lachtern . The tunnel had been driven to replace the old one . Two wing locations had been driven across, one to the south and one to the north.

The further operation

In 1784 the mine had a shaft with a depth of 15½ lachtern. The shaft was equipped with a manual reel with an intermediate gear . This year, the Erbstollen was the head of the Brandenburg district mining office, the Baron von Stein traveled . Vom Stein provided information about the condition of the tunnel and the performance of the miners working there in his protocol . He was particularly pleased with the technical progress on the reel. He made a drawing of this reel in his protocol. At the time of the visit, the tunnel had a length of 105 laughs . There were 57 pools in the tunnel with expansion , the rest of the tunnel was without expansion. The tunnel was near the tunnel mouth hole committed a crime and was in the subregion at the time to passing over aufgewältigt . In 1796 a cross passage to the south was driven, and the excavation took place at shafts 2 and 4. In 1800 only shaft 1 and in 1805 shafts 1 and 2 were excavated. In 1810 the Aurora, Fortuna and Glückauf pits were mined. In 1815 the mining took place in so-called "English wagons", these wagons had a capacity of five ringlets . In 1818 there was a consolidation to Zeche Eintracht.

Current condition

The tunnel mouth of the Hünninghauser Erbstolln was buried during the construction of the Steele Ost station.
