HITRADIO RT1 (sometimes to distinguish the programs in North and Südschwaben HITRADIO RT1 Augsburg called) is a local radio of the media Pressedruck belonging rt1.media group based at the Media Center Augsburg. It was introduced as Radio Tele 1 and renamed in 2001.

The transmission area includes the city of Augsburg , the districts of Augsburg-Land , Aichach-Friedberg , Neuburg-Schrobenhausen , the northern district of Landsberg and parts of the Donau-Ries district . There are other stations under the station identification HITRADIO RT1 in Memmingen (HITRADIO RT1 Südschwaben) and Donauwörth (HITRADIO RT1 Nordschwaben). From October 1, 2017, the VHF frequencies previously used by Radio ND1 were reassigned in Neuburg an der Donau and Schrobenhausen .

The licensing authority is the Bavarian State Center for New Media . It started broadcasting on March 21, 1987. The founding managing directors were Werner Mittermaier and Jürgen Bartel. The station started with a soft AC format .

Program and broadcasts

In 2001 a relaunch was carried out under the direction of Felix Kovac. The program is now based on a Hot AC format , local reporting and an entertainment-oriented morning program.

The HITRADIO RT1 Augsburg program consists of the following programs:

  • The RT1 morning team from Monday to Friday from 5 to 9 a.m. with moderator Rolf Störmann, weather fairy Chris Hädrich and comedian Mr. Braun.
  • RT1 in the afternoon from Monday to Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. with Felix Straube.
  • RT1 Top 40 - Giovanna Lecce plays the current hits in the chart countdown every Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. (repeat: Sunday 9 p.m. to midnight).
  • RT1 in the mix - Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m., with DJ Enrico Ostendorf (since 2005), whose hit mix can be heard on a total of 24 German radio stations .

Other reception options

HITRADIO RT1 can be received via cable in the southern parts of Bavaria, but not in northern Upper Bavaria, Eastern Bavaria and Franconia. In addition, HITRADIO RT1 can be heard live over the Internet.
