The Media Group Pressedruck is a group of German media companies , printing companies and service companies, which is run by the Presse-Druck- und Verlags-GmbH based in Augsburg . It produces the daily newspapers Augsburger Allgemeine (largest Bavarian subscription newspaper) as well as their local editions (distribution area administrative district Schwaben , district Neuburg-Schrobenhausen and district Landsberg am Lech ), online appearances and advertising papers, holds shares in other daily newspapers ( Allgäuer Zeitung in Kempten, Nordkurier in Neubrandenburg ), operates several radio and television stations and production companies, logistics and other service subsidiaries as well as printing plants.
In addition, the media group dealt jointly with the Local newspaper publishing the Foundation "index of need" (a charity for the needy from the distribution area) and organizer of the golf tournament "Augsburger Press Cup" in favor of "index of need" and organizer of the "Augsburger press Balls" .

The rt1.media group operates local radio and television broadcasters as well as a television production company. The company's headquarters are in Augsburg. Management and ownership
The Pressedruck media group is 50 percent owned by the Holland and Scherer families. After Ellinor Holland's death, the shareholders are her two daughters Alexandra Holland and Ellinor Scherer. Ellinor Holland , publisher of the Augsburger Allgemeine , was the daughter of Curt Frenzel , who founded the Schwäbische Landeszeitung in 1945 - later the Augsburger Allgemeine - and died in 1970. After Frenzel's death, she joined the management and her husband Günter Holland became editor-in-chief. Günter Holland died in 2006, Ellinor Holland in 2010. The managing directors of the group-leading Presse-Druck- und Verlags-GmbH are Andreas Scherer, Alexandra Holland and Edgar Benkler. Alexandra Holland became co-editor of the Augsburger Allgemeine in 2009.
