The Hachetal is a former nature reserve in the northern part of the Diepholz district in Lower Saxony .

description

The former nature reserve "Hachetal" is a 180 hectare area along the Hache between Syke and the Bassum district of Neubruchhausen , west of the Weser . The former nature reserve with the sign NSG HA 207 comprised a section of the Hache, several tributaries and their floodplains . The stream valleys are mainly occupied by wet forests rich in alder . Remnants of the formerly extensive meadows and pastures are between the forests. A diverse marsh vegetation with Hochstaudenfluren and reeds develops on disused land. Beech and oak forests grow on the edge of the valley.

The former nature reserve was for the most part designated as FFH area 271 “Hachetal”.

history

By ordinance of May 5, 2009, the area along the Hache was declared a nature reserve. In November 2018, the new nature reserve “ Hachetal and Freidorfer Hachetal ” opened together with the “ Freidorfer Hachetal ” nature reserve near Neubruchhausen . The district of Diepholz was responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
