Haley Cope (born April 11, 1979 in Chico , California ) is a former American swimmer and world champion over 50 m back.
Cope became world champion over 50 m back in 2001. In addition, she was world champion over 50 m back (2004) and 100 m back (2002 and 2004) as well as vice world champion over 50 m back (2002) on the short course . At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, she was a member of the layer relay, which won the silver medal. As a result, erotic pictures of her were published in Maxim and Playboy magazines in 2004 .
In 2000, together with Joscelin Yeo , Staciana Stitts and Praphalsai Minpraphal as a university team at the University of California in Berkeley, she broke the relay world record in 4 × 50 meters on the short course and improved it to 1: 49.23 minutes.
