Halil İbrahim Kara (born September 26, 1972 in İzmit ) is a former Turkish football player . By working for Kocaelispor and Fenerbahçe Istanbul he is associated with these clubs. Especially through his work at Kocaelispor, he is seen by club and fan pages as an integral part of the legendary team that won the fall championship as a surprise team in the 1991/92 season and ended the season fourth.

Player career

society

Kara began his club football career with the first division club Kocaelispor . At this club in 1990, in addition to his work for the reserve team, which was then known as PAF takımı , he was also involved in the training of professionals. He made his professional debut on September 26, 1990 in the cup match against Karagümrük SK . In the summer of 1991, he was finally equipped with a professional contract and finally involved in the professional team. At the end of the season he celebrated the championship of the 1991/92 season with his team and rose to the 1st Lig . Kara came to sporadic missions as a supplementary player during this season. Promoted to the 1st league, Kara's team became the surprise team of the 1992/93 first division season . The team took the lead in the standings from the start of the season and surprisingly became autumn champions . In the second half of the season Kocaelispor was unable to get the same performance as in the first half of the season and so lost the lead in the table. Nevertheless, they ended the season in 4th place in the table and thus achieved the best placement in the club's history. Kara played this season almost exclusively in the regular formations and, like many of his teammates, advanced to become the league's shooting stars. In the next two seasons, Kara and his club occupied the top third of the table. Kara consolidated his position within the team and rose first to the Turkish U-21 international and a little later to the Turkish national player .

In the summer of 1995 he left Kocaelispor and moved within the league to Istanbul's top club Fenerbahçe . At his new club he was not used as an undisputed regular player by Brazilian coach Carlos Alberto Parreira , but Kara was used in most competitive games and played as a regular player for eight weeks. At the end of the season, Kara and his club were Turkish champions . In addition, he and his team won the TSYD pre-season tournament . In the next season, Kara also played most of his team's competitive games. From the summer of 1997 he then lost his secure position within the team and only occasionally came to play.

In the summer of 1999 he left Fenerbahçe and returned to his old club Kocaelispor. Here he played two seasons and then ended his career.

In 2005 he returned to professional football with the fourth division club Gölcükspor and played here for another year. He then ended his career for good.

National team

Kara first played for the Turkish national teams while at Kocaelispor . In a test match for the Turkish U21 national team against the U21 Israel , he played the full length of the game. After this game, Kara ran four more times for the Turkish U-21s.

Due to his convincing performances for Beşiktaş Istanbul , Önatlı was nominated for the Turkish national team in April 1994 and made his international debut against the English- Russian team on April 20, 1994 . 1995 Kara came to his second and last international game.
