Hammer + Veilchen is a German-language literary magazine for new short prose that was founded in 2014 by Peter Engel and Günther Emig .
The magazine appears on the Internet four times a year. The issues of the current year can be downloaded free of charge in the PDF version from the website www.Hammer-und-Veilchen.de. All editions from No. 1 onwards are available as epub versions from various eBook platforms. There are 17 issues so far (as of September 2018).
The publication is primarily about innovative forms of short and very brief contemporary prose. It is aimed at readers in German-speaking countries who are interested in new prose.
