Stephen Blake "Stevie" Woltz (born July 27, 1991 in Aarons Creek, Virginia ), better known by his ring name "The Hangman" Adam Page , is an American wrestler who currently appears in All Elite Wrestling (AEW for short) .

Before joining AEW, he also appeared in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW for short) and Ring of Honor (ROH for short).

Wrestling career

Ring of Honor (2011-2018)

On January 14, 2011, Woltz first appeared on the Ring of Honor in a dark match . He used the ring name Adam Page . He played his first match at a pay-per-view event on March 2, 2013 at the ROH 11th Anniversary Show in a Six-Man Mayhem match that ACH won . After denying a feud with the stable The Decade in early 2014 , he joined the group on March 7, 2014. In addition to him, the stable included BJ Whitmer, Jimmy Jacobs , Roderick Strong and TaDarius Thomas. Woltz left the group in mid-2015. On May 9, 2016 at the ROH / NJPW War of the Worlds Tour , he joined the Stable Bullet Club . At the same event, he got his nickname The Hangman (German: The Hangman) when he hung Chris Sabin with a hangman's knot . On August 20, 2017, as Hangman Page , he won the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship from Dalton Castle and The Boys together with his Bullet Club colleagues Matt and Nick Jackson ( The Young Bucks ) . Woltz and The Young Bucks jointly called themselves The Hung Bucks . They lost the title to SoCal Uncensored ( Christopher Daniels , Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) at the ROH 16th Anniversary Show on March 9, 2018 . In the Talk is Jericho Podcast by Chris Jericho on October 30, 2018, Woltz, Cody and Marty Scurll announced that they would join the stable The Elite . In addition, The Elite stepped out of the Bullet Club with the other members Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. With the ROH TV records dated December 15, 2018, The Elite left the Ring of Honor.

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2016-2019)

On June 19, 2016, Woltz made his debut for the first time under the name Hangman Page at New Japan Pro Wrestling when he held a six-man day at Dominion 6.19 in Osaka-jo Hall together with Bullet Club members Yujiro Takahashi and Bad Luck Fale. Match against Captain New Japan, Yoshi Tatsu and Togi Makabe. During his time at NJPW, Woltz mainly played tag team matches with other Bullet Club members and occasionally also singles matches . He played his last match at NJPW on January 4, 2019 at Wrestle Kingdom 13 in a gauntlet match for the right to a NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championship title match. He lost the match together with Marty Scurll and Yujiro Takahashi.

All Elite Wrestling (since 2019)

Woltz signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling in January 2019. In his first match at AEW he was allowed to win the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing on May 25, 2019 , which entitles him to participate in the match for the first AEW World Champion . However, he lost this match on August 31, 2019 at All Out against Chris Jericho. On January 21, 2020, it was allowed in the Dynamite Recording during Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea -Kreuzfahrt on the Norwegian Pearl the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Kenny Omega in a match against the title holder SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky).
