Hanka Durante (born Hanka Pachale , born September 12, 1976 in Schwerin ) is a former German volleyball player .

Career

Hanka Durante was 120 times German national player . In 1996 she took part with the German national volleyball team at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and finished eighth there. In 2000 she took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney with the German national volleyball team and finished sixth there. Durante played for Schweriner SC and was two-time German champion . In 1998 she went to Italy and played in Vicenza , Modena , Florence , Jesi , Chieri , Padua , Perugia and in Pavia . With Volley Modena and Colussi Perugia, she won the Champions League in 2001 and 2008 respectively . In 2010 she moved to France for RC Cannes , where she won the French championship in 2011. In her final season, Durante played again in Italy for Piacenza in 2011/12 .

Hanka Durante is the daughter of Siegfried Pachale (GDR discus thrower, 1976 Olympian in Montréal). Durante's younger sister Maja Pachale was also a successful volleyball player in the Bundesliga.

Since 2013 she has lived in Schwerin with her husband Luca Durante, also a former volleyball player, and her son . Together with her husband she runs an Italian delicatessen shop in the city center.
