Hannes Bauer (politician)

Hannes Bauer (born March 18, 1941 in Eggenburg ; actually Johann Bauer ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and a former member of the National Council .

Life

Hannes Bauer attended the commercial academy from 1956 to 1960, then the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and graduated in 1965 with a degree in economics. In 1980 he received a doctorate in commercial science.

As a member of parliament, he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament for many years and was a member of the Lower Austrian state government from 1991 to 1993 and from 1998 to 1999.

In 1986/87 he was State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Industry. From 1989 to 1991 and from 2000 to October 27, 2008 he was a member of the National Council.

Hannes Bauer has been a member of the Federal Executive Committee of the Social Democratic Party of Austria since 1991.
