Helmut Krünes

Helmut Krünes (born March 30, 1941 in Vienna ) is a retired Austrian chemist , industrial manager and politician ( FPÖ ).

Life

Helmut Krünes attended a secondary school and graduated from high school in 1959 . This was followed by studies in technical chemistry at the Technical University in Vienna (diploma studies 1959–1967, doctorate in 1969).

From 1969 to 1973 he worked for the company 'Farbwerke Hoechst AG, formerly Meister Lucius & Brüning', and from 1973 to 1986 for the Wienerberger company . From 1981 he was a member of the board.

He began his political activity in the Austrian student body as chairman of the ring of liberal students (1963/64), employee in various liberal advisory bodies (e.g. in the Attersee district ), and in 1978/79 he was general secretary of the FPÖ. From 1986 to 1988 he was a member of the National Council , from May 1986 to January 1987 he was Federal Minister for National Defense .

He was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1988–1989, and co-founder of the business forum for executives .

Afterwards Krünes worked in business as a manager and consultant, u. a. CEO of the Stuag company . 1994–98 he was a partner in the machine works Liezen und Gießerei GmbH . From 2005 to 2006 he was one of the managing directors of the ARC in Seibersdorf.

Krünes is a member of the German national association of German students Sudetia Vienna .
