Holger Bauer

Holger Bauer (born November 7, 1942 in Schärding ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). Bauer was a member of the Austrian National Council and State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Finance.

Life

After elementary school, Bauer attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Gmunden and studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business after graduation. He completed his studies in 1970 with a degree in business administration . Bauer worked as a sales representative and payroll processor during his studies and was then a press employee in the federal office of the FPÖ. From 1971 to 1976 he worked as a federal press officer for the FPÖ, after which from 1976 he was business editor of the Wiener Zeitung . From 1986 to 1997 Bauer was an employee of the Federal Press Service in the Federal Chancellery.

Bauer was a local councilor and member of the state parliament in Vienna from 1973 to 1980, and from 1979 to 1991 he was the deputy state party leader of the FPÖ Vienna. Between 1986 and 1990 he was Deputy Federal Party Chairman of the FPÖ. Bauer represented the FPÖ from June 19, 1980 to May 31, 1983 in the National Council and on May 24, 1983, he moved to the Federal Ministry of Finance as State Secretary of the Federal Government Sinowatz . After resigning as State Secretary on January 21, 1987, Bauer was again a member of the National Council between December 17, 1986 and October 28, 1999.

Bauer is a member of the Scardonia Schärding fraternity .
