Hannes Schmidhauser (born September 9, 1926 in Locarno ; † January 29, 2000 in Lugano ) was a Swiss film actor , screenwriter , director and football player .

Life

He worked as a film actor from 1954 to 1999. He became known for the role of Uli in the film adaptations of the novels by Gotthelf Uli the servant and Uli the tenant .

Hannes Schmidhauser's mother was a musician, his father was the philosopher Julius Schmidhauser . He himself has already been on stage at theater performances at the grammar school in Ascona . His most beautiful role from the time immediately after the war was Captain Bluntschli in the play Helden by George Bernard Shaw , which was sold out fifty times in the Zurich Schauspielhaus . Hannes Schmidhauser also made a career as a football player. He already earned his acting training by playing football. He later became a captain for the Swiss national team . He was therefore used to the audience and never had stage fright on stage. He lived in Italy for a few years and produced films himself, albeit with only moderate success. His ashes were scattered in Lake Maggiore so that he would not have a venerable burial place.
