Hans-Jörg Hennecke

Hans-Jörg Hennecke (born August 31, 1942 in Hanover ; † May 30, 2014 there ) was a German journalist and writer .

Life

Hans-Jörg Hennecke was born in 1942 in the Hanover district of Vahrenwald . His childhood in Wülfel in the post-war period was from malnutrition overshadowed alleviated by the CARE packages under the slogan "America Helps".

After attending a secondary school , Hennecke completed an apprenticeship as a publishing clerk and an internship in the editorial department of the Neue Presse . In his youth, Hans-Jörg Hennecke became editor-in-chief of a nationwide youth magazine.

Hennecke became a member of the DKP in 1968 . From 1971 to 1976 he was editor-in-chief of the SDAJ magazine Elan and member of the executive board of the SDAJ. From 1978 to 1983 he was secretary for public relations at the DKP district board of Lower Saxony. In 1983 he was elected district chairman of the DKP Lower Saxony.

Hennecke also worked in public relations for magazines, associations and at the Hanover Cultural Office , for which he mainly worked in the area of ​​urban and district culture and in his new Linden neighborhood . He developed tours of important historical sites in the districts, wrote satires and short stories as well as plays . From around 2007 he wrote regularly and until recently "[...] his column in Lindenspiegel."

In the last years of his life, the often volunteer focused on the districts of Linden, where he had an allotment garden on the Lindener Berg and numerous friends. He also interwoven the Linden characters, pastor Sauerbier , Stokelfranz or Oma Kasten, as well as his alter ego Lindemann , which he invented and described , in his stories with "[...] a kind of topographical-biographical empathy". Hennecke broke the whirlpool of globalization and the digital revolution down to its own local area, questioning at the same time "[...] satirically, cynically and sarcastically the business monotony of our daily existence."

His work also included regional crime novels such as LindenTod and Totenruhe , in which Hennecke had his retired Pastor Sauerbier and his friend Lindemann investigate on their own.

Hans-Jörg Hennecke “[...] never let go of the letter; it defined him. ”His credo was ultimately:“ Everyone wants to live long, but nobody wants to grow old ”. Hennecke died at the age of 71 in the middle of his nightly work on his column for Lindenspiegel.
