Hans-Jürgen Krumnow (born February 17, 1943 ; † July 11, 2015 in Bad Bodenteich ) was a German soccer player who played ten times in the Bundesliga for Hertha BSC .

Player career

Hans-Jürgen Krumnow was under contract with Hertha BSC in the contract league Berlin from 1961 . There the goalkeeper did not get past the regular goalkeeper Wolfgang Tillich . It was not until the 1961/62 season that trainer Hanne Sobek Krumnow made his debut against Tennis Borussia . This did not go as planned, however, because he underwent an own goal in the second half, which was offset by striker Hans-Joachim Altendorff in the course of the game . In the season that ended with the championship, Krumnow was only used one more time. By winning the title, Hertha qualified for the final round of the German championship . There Krumnow played in the final game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern (3-0) for the already eliminated Berliners . In the newly founded Bundesliga , Krumnow could not get past Tillich again in 1963/64 and only came into play when he was injured. For the 1964/65 season , Hertha signed a new goalkeeper, Wolfgang Fahrian, and Krumnow suddenly found himself facing the role of number three. Nevertheless, Krumnow managed to make two missions. Although Hertha had managed to stay up in the league, the club's license was withdrawn due to unauthorized hand money. In the regional league season 1965/66 Krumnow was initially regularly in goal, but had to give up this position again to Fahrian during the season. After Hertha had only lost the game against Spandauer SV, they qualified as champions for the promotion round, but failed there, among other things, to Fortuna Düsseldorf . In 1966/67 , Krumnow played for the first time a full season as the regular number one, but after successfully defending his title, he was again at a disadvantage in the promotion round. In 1967/68 , Hertha managed the title hat trick. Krumnow fought a fight for number one in goal with Volkmar Groß, who was five years his junior , and Groß was ultimately able to decide for himself. In the promotion round you could finally make the promotion perfect in the third attempt by Hertha Rot-Weiss Essen relegated to second place. In 1968/69 Hertha BSC played again in the football club. Relegation was ensured there at the end of the season. However, Krumnow was only used in the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach for four minutes.

Then Hans-Jürgen Krumnow switched to Blau-Weiß 90 . For blue and white Krumnow played 64 games in the regional league by the end of his career in 1974.

Coaching career

After his playing career, Hans-Jürgen Krumnow worked, among other things, as a coach in the amateur department of Blau-Weiß 90.
