Hans-Josef Bracht
Hans-Josef Bracht (born January 2, 1955 in Bettenfeld ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and has been a directly elected member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament for constituency 16 Rhein-Hunsrück since 1996 . Since May 2016 he has been Vice President of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament .
Life and work
Bracht grew up in Bettenfeld in the Eifel and attended the Regino-Gymnasium Prüm from 1966 to 1975 . After serving in the Bundeswehr, Bracht studied economics at the University of Trier from 1976 . Then he was employed by the city administration of Trier . In 1982, Bracht completed a postgraduate course at the University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer . From 1982 to 1988 he was a research assistant for the CDU parliamentary group in the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament. After that he was an advisor in the budget department of the Ministry of Finance until 1996. He has been a member of the state parliament since 1996. On May 18, 2016, Bracht was unanimously elected Vice President of the 17th State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate . In 2009, 2010 and 2012 he was a member of the Federal Assembly .
Hans-Josef Bracht is married, has three children and lives in Rheinböllen .
In addition to politics, Bracht is involved in various associations and for children suffering from cancer and leukemia as part of the VOR Tour of Hope . He is a member of the extended board of the Rhineland-Palatinate district council, the administrative council of the Kreissparkasse Rhein-Hunsrück , the administrative council of the Sparkassenverband Rhineland-Palatinate, the board of trustees of the Rhine-Hunsrück regional economy council, the board of trustees of the Puricellische Stiftung Rheinböllen, and the board of the fire service association Rheinböllen and in the Lions Club Hunsrück.
