Hans-Peter Wild

Hans-Peter Wild (born June 16, 1941 in Heidelberg ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and lawyer. Until 2014 he held the majority in Wild Flavors GmbH, based in Zug, and was chairman of the company. Wild is one of the 150 richest people in Switzerland (as of 2012) with an estimated fortune of 1.25 billion Swiss francs .

Life

Hans-Peter Wild, son of Rudolf Wild and Leonie Wild , was born in Heidelberg in 1941.

He passed his legal traineeship in Heidelberg with distinction.

In Mannheim he studied business administration with a focus on tax law and auditing, as well as graduating with a degree in business administration. He earned his doctorate at the Law Faculty of the University of Mannheim on the dominant company under French law to Dr. iur.

After completing his training, Wild worked for the Diersch & Schröder group of companies and was responsible for the mineral oil, chemical and shipping company divisions as managing director for four years.

Wild is the owner of the two Salzburg luxury hotels Goldener Hirsch and Mönchstein Castle .

In 2017, he was 800th on Forbes' list of the richest people in the world with a fortune of around 2.6 billion euros .

Worked in the Wild company

He joined his parents' company Wild in 1974. Hans-Peter Wild continuously drove the international expansion of the company and in particular the Capri-Sonne brand, and made the originally German company into a global group. In preparation for possible access to the capital markets, in 2010 Hans-Peter Wild sold shares in Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co. KG to the financial investor Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. With effect from the end of 2014, Wild and KKR sold the Swiss parent company Wild Flavors GmbH and the in Nauen based manufacturer of fruit preparations WILD Dairy Ingredients GmbH to the US group Archer Daniels Midland .

Hans-Peter Wild is still the owner of all companies operating under the Capri-Sonne and Capri-Sun brands worldwide and the sole owner of INDAG GmbH & Co. Betriebs KG - Wild’s technology subsidiary. He holds stakes in numerous other companies.

Social and culture

Hans-Peter Wild is President of the “Leonie Wild Foundation”, which he set up in 1997 together with his mother. In Eppelheim and the Rhine-Neckar region in particular, the foundation supports needy citizens as well as social and cultural projects. In 2016, Hans-Peter Wild donated $ 16.5 million to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation in gratitude for the efforts of the American military during World War II and in recognition of the liberation of the Germans from the Nazis.

Sport / rugby

In 2007 he founded the WILD Rugby Academy to promote German rugby sport . He is also a patron of the Heidelberg RK and initiator of a national rugby training center under the direction of the former professional player Robert Mohr . In 2017 he wanted to buy the Paris rugby club Stade Francais .

Awards

Hans-Peter Wild has been an honorary senator of the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg since 1996 . In 2004 he was awarded the Bavarian Beer Order. In June 2006 the city of Eppelheim granted him honorary citizenship for his entrepreneurial performance and his social commitment to the employees of Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co. KG and the social institutions in Eppelheim and the region .
