Hans Buchholz (born January 15, 1893 in Hanover ; † April 26, 1990 there ) was a German advertising consultant and association official .

Life

family

Hans Buchholz married Rosemarie (Rosemarie Katharina Ella, born October 24, 1916 in Gut Otten near Zinten , East Prussia ; † December 8, 2004 in Hanover) on March 20, 1948, born from the noble Le Tanneux von Saint Paul family . She had studied commercial graphics and painting in Königsberg and, shortly before the end of the war, in January 1945, fled by horse-drawn sleigh across the frozen lagoon from the advancing Russian troops to Hanover, where she was accepted by the barons of Münchhausen, Gut Bettensen near Ronnenberg. As a widow, she still lived in the four borders house in Hanover in the early 1990s . From the marriage 3 children were born, u. a. the musician Francis Buchholz .

Career

On March 11, 1960, Buchholz was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon by the German Federal President for his special services.

Shortly before his resignation as chairman of the association, Buchholz was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class on July 27, 1966 by the German President for his far-reaching achievements in the field of advertising .

Hans Buchholz Medal
