Hans Dahs jun. (Born November 1, 1935 in Bonn ; † July 7, 2018 ) was a German lawyer .

Life

The son of the lawyer of the same name, Hans Dahs, studied at the universities of Bonn , Munich , Freiburg i. Br. And Zurich Law. After completing his doctorate and legal clerkship, Dahs joined the law firm founded by his father in 1929 as a lawyer in 1964, which operates under the name Redeker Sellner Dahs . Specializing in criminal law, he was a member of the Criminal Law Committee of the Federal Bar Association from 1976 to 2003 , and as its chairman from 1991 to 1994. He was co-editor of the Neue Zeitschrift für Strafrecht and co-author of comments on the Criminal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure . He had emerged as a criminal defense lawyer for prominent accused or defendant.

Since 1983 he has been an honorary professor at the University of Bonn. In 2005 he was honored with a commemorative publication as the “doyen of German defense lawyers”.
