Hans Günther von Klöden (also: Hans-Günther von Klöden (born October 2, 1907 in Berlin , † March 3, 1986 in Hanover ) was a German actor , theater educator , director and university teacher .

origin

His parents were Captain Karl Hermann Hans von Klöden (born September 25, 1875) and his wife Anna Sophie Johann Elise Eyl (born September 4, 1884 - † February 28, 1915). He was the only child from this connection.

Life

Hans Günther von Klöden studied in his hometown of Berlin both at the university there and at the Max Reinhardt School there .

He made his debut in the drama Der Hauptmann von Köpenick by Carl Zuckmayer in Braunschweig , where he also got his first engagement. Then von Klöden worked as an actor and director at various theaters in Berlin.

At the time of National Socialism, Hans Günther von Klöden worked as a dramaturge at UFA in Babelsberg from 1935 to 1938 .

After the Second World War , von Klöden set up the “ Kammerspiele ” in Hanover , which he led for a time together with Jürgen von Alten . Reinhold Rüdiger was one of his students at his private drama school in the Edelhof Ricklingen , which was operated at the same time, and was later an actor, dramaturge and then engaged for the Kammerspiele Hannover .

After the Kammerspiele Hanover closed in 1949, von Klödens drama school was taken over by the Lower Saxony state capital and from 1950 integrated as a department into the then Academy and later the University of Music and Theater . Hans Günther von Klöden received a professorship there in 1959.
