Hans-Georg Simmgen
Hans-Georg Simmgen (* 1933 , possibly also 1939) is a German actor and director .
Life
Hans-Georg Simmgen graduated from the State Drama School in Berlin in 1957 and was engaged as an actor at the Berliner Ensemble from 1958 to 1968 . During this time he began to direct what became his main task in the years to come. So he was u. a. at the Maxim-Gorki-Theater and Deutsches Theater in Berlin and at the Staatstheater Dresden for several years. There were also several guest productions at various theaters in the GDR and in Finland . He also worked as a lecturer at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art from 1978 , where he was also appointed professor.
