Hans Gradmann

Hans Ulrich Gradmann (born May 27, 1892 in Forchtenberg , † April 20, 1983 in Tübingen ) was a German botanist .

Life

Robert Gradmann's son studied from 1910 to 1914 and after military service from 1918 to 1919 natural sciences and botany at the University of Tübingen under Hermann Vöchting, among others . During his studies in Tübingen he became a member of the Tübingen royal society Roigel . From 1912 he studied at the University of Berlin with Gottlieb Haberlandt . From 1919 to 1920 he studied at the University of Erlangen . In 1920 Hans Solereder became Dr. rer. nat. PhD. In the same year he was first a study assessor in Metzingen before moving from Württemberg to Bavaria . In 1921 he worked as a scientific assistant, in 1923 as a private lecturer and in 1931 as an associate professor of botany at the University of Erlangen , where his father taught geography. On November 1, 1936, he was given leave of absence; on November 29, 1938, his teaching license was finally revoked.

So he returned to the Württemberg school service and taught biology , chemistry and geography in Vaihingen an der Enz in 1936 . From September 1938 he was a teacher at the Spohnoberschule (upper secondary school) in Ravensburg and finally a senior teacher at the Kepler secondary school in Tübingen until he was retired in 1958 . After his retirement he worked more scientifically again and during this time he also published biological-scientific films.

Gradmann was born in 1927 with Elisabeth. Kommerell, daughter of Victor Kommerell , married.
