Hans Jürgen von Elterlein

Hans Jürgen Claus Georg von Elterlein (born March 17, 1928 in Waldhof ; † November 8, 2001 in Stuttgart ) was a German publisher.

Life

Hans Jürgen von Elterlein was born in the Waldhof housing estate (later Schwartower Waldhof, today: Zwarcienko ) in the Lauenburg i. Pom. born in Pomerania . His family originally came from the noble family von Elterlein from the Erzgebirge , who named themselves after the mountain town of the same name, Elterlein .

Hans Jürgen von Elterlein was the publisher of the book service named after him in Stuttgart, in which u. a. In 1983 the publication of Heinrich Keim's prisoner of the woods - experience report appeared. In 1988 he published a reprint of Christian Lehmann's historical scene of their natural curiosities in the Meissnian Ober-Ertz Mountains from 1699.

The publishing house von Elterlein emerged from the book service , whose special merit in the 1990s was the reprint of several chronicles of Erzgebirge cities such as Annaberg (1658), Eibenstock (1748), Johanngeorgenstadt (1723), Schneeberg (1716) and Zwickau (1839/45 ) as well as the Meissniche Bergk Chronica by Petrus Albinus from 1590. He had the complete reprints of the contemporary originals supplemented with registers of place and person and appreciations of the respective chronicler, some of which he wrote himself or which regional historians such as Willy Roch , Roland Unger , Lutz Mahnke and Jörg Brückner commissioned or took up.

He was a member of the Order of St. John .
