Richard Johannes Laasner , known as Hans Laasner (born December 17, 1864 in Danzig ; date of death after 1920), was a German portrait and genre painter and illustrator . He is assigned to the Düsseldorf and Munich schools .

Life

Coming from Gdansk, Laasner studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1880 to 1882 , where Hugo Crola , Heinrich Lauenstein and Peter Janssen the Elder gave him a degree . Ä. taught. Janssen, who instructed Laasner in the ancient and natural class, classified Laasner as "very talented". On November 23, 1883, Laasner enrolled in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . There were Hermann Lindenschmit and Otto Seitz his teachers. After completing his studies, Laasner settled in Munich. The photographer Carl Teufel took photos of his studio there . Around 1912 Laasner lived in Berlin - Schlachtensee .

Laasner mainly created portraits and genre pictures. His illustrations appeared in the magazines Die Gartenlaube (1897) and Daheim (1891).
