Hans Podehl
Hans Podehl (born March 21, 1924 in Frankfurt am Main ; † August 11, 1979 in Kahl am Main ) was a German jazz musician ( drums ) and music producer .
Podehl was one of the founders of the Hotclub Combo and Hotclub Frankfurt in 1941 . From 1945 he worked as a drummer with Paul Martin , then with Paul Kuhn , initially mainly in the clubs of the American occupation forces , and with Wolfgang Sauer . In the 1950s he worked for the Hessischer Rundfunk , first as a studio musician , from 1959 as a program designer for popular music , where he was responsible for programs such as Teenager Melodie or the Schlager exchange moderated by Hanns Verres . As an actor he appeared in the comedy So a millionaire has a hard time (1958). From 1966 he worked as an independent record producer, among others for Inge Brandenburg and for Adam and Micky’s . He can be heard on records with Willy Berking ( Canadian Dixie ), Paul Kuhn, Heinz Schönberger and Wolfgang Sauer.
