Hans Troßmann (born April 18, 1906 in Nuremberg ; † November 2, 1993 in Bonn ) was a German politician ( CSU ) and from 1949 to 1970 the first director of the German Bundestag .

Life

Hans Troßmann was the son of the Bavarian state parliament and later Reichstag member Karl Troßmann . He grew up in Nuremberg and studied law and economics in Berlin, Munich and Erlangen. He became a member of the NSDAP in 1935 and headed the Litzmannstadt price monitoring office after 1940 . He also had to do with the German administration of the Litzmannstadt ghetto . After the Second World War he joined the CSU and in 1946 became its Deputy Secretary General. In 1948 he became secretary of the Parliamentary Council and on September 17, 1949 as the first director of the German Bundestagappointed head of administration of the German parliament. He held the office of Director of the Bundestag for more than twenty years until he retired on April 20, 1970. On May 24, 1965 he was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by the Federal President , and in 1969 the Great Cross of Merit with a Star.

From 1925 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Bavaria Berlin.
