As expedition class called Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is a series of three cruise ships for worldwide use, especially the polar regions .

General

In May 2016, the intention was agreed with the Vard Group to initially build two ships for expedition trips. The first two ships were commissioned on August 16, 2016. A third ship of this class was ordered on July 3, 2018. The type ship , the Hanseatic nature , was delivered on April 30, 2019.

The hulls are manufactured at Vard Tulcea in Tulcea , Romania , and then towed to Vard Langsten in Tomrefjord , Norway, for equipment and handover .

Furnishing

The furnishings of the ships are designed for up to 230 passengers and are spread over seven decks :

  • Deck 3: On-board hospital and a "Marina" for the "Zodiacs"
  • Deck 4: restaurants, boutique and cabins
  • Deck 5: bistro restaurant and cabins
  • Deck 6: suites, cabins, two tender boats and a walk-in foredeck
  • Deck 7: suites, cabins and navigating bridge
  • Deck 8: wellness area, sun deck with pool , an observation lounge and two retractable glass balconies
  • Deck 9: sundeck
