Hartmut Schauerte (born September 13, 1944 in Kirchhundem ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1966, Schauerte studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , which he completed in 1972 with the first state examination in law. After his legal clerkship , he also passed the second state examination in 1975 and has since been admitted to the bar. From 1978 to 1994 he also worked as a notary .

Hartmut Schauerte is married and has four children.

Political party

Schauerte became a member of the CDU in 1967. He was initially involved in the RCDS , of which he was Deputy Federal Chairman from 1967 to 1968. From 1973 to 1995 he was chairman of the CDU district association in Olpe . Since leaving this office, he has been honorary chairman of the district association. Schauerte has been the state chairman of the CDU (MIT) medium-sized and business association in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1994 and has also been its deputy national chairman since 1995.

Schauerte belonged to the district council of the Olpe district from 1975 to 1988 and was also a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1980 to 1994 . There he was budget and financial policy spokesman from 1985 and from 1990 also deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group .

From 1994 to 2009, Schauerte was a member of the German Bundestag and was deputy chairman from 1999 to 2002 and finally chairman of the middle class parliamentary group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group from 2002 to 2006 . Schauerte was also the spokesman for the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the Enquête Commission “Globalization of the World Economy - Challenges and Answers” from 1999 to 2002 and was a member of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group from 2002 to 2006.

Hartmut Schauerte entered the Bundestag in 1994 and 1998 as a directly elected member of the constituency of Olpe - Siegen-Wittgenstein II and since 2002 of the constituency of Olpe - Märkischer Kreis I. In the 2005 Bundestag election he received 50.8% of the first votes . He did not run for the 2009 Bundestag election .

Public offices
