The Harzfelder Holz nature reserve is located in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .
It extends southeast of Harzungen , a district of the Harztor rural community , and north of Rüdigsdorf , a district of the large district town of Nordhausen . The state road L 1037 runs to the north and east of the area and the L 1038 to the south.
