He Zhiwen ( Chinese  何志文 , Pinyin Hé Zhìwén ; born January 31, 1962 in Huangyan ) is a Spanish table tennis player of Chinese descent. In 2016 he qualified for the fourth time to participate in the Olympic Games.

Career

For China, He Zhiwen took part in the individual competitions of the world championships in 1985 and 1987 . In 1985 he won bronze in doubles with fan Changmao . He later moved to Spain and represented this country 13 times at world championships, the first time in 1997 . He did not come close to medal ranks. The Spanish Table Tennis Association also nominated him for the European Championships in 1998 , 2000 , 2007 , 2008 and 2011 . He qualified for the Summer Olympics four times, namely in 2004 , 2008 , 2012 and 2016 . In 2004 and 2008 he was the oldest table tennis player represented.

In 1989 he moved from China to the German Bundesliga for the Germania Schnelsen club , which he left again at the end of the same year for Caja General de Granada (Spain).

In 2016, He Zhiwen ended his career in the Spanish national team and internationally.
