The musicians were given the opportunity to perform through a radio competition in which Heaven's Basement posed as a band from Manchester. The self-titled EP was released in the founding year .

In the first two years of the band's history, Heaven's Basement played over 300 concerts and appeared as the opening act for bands such as Hardcore Superstar , Thunder , Black Stone Cherry and Shinedown . Aaron Buchanan was introduced as the successor in February 2011, while guitarist Jonny Rocker left the band. Heaven's Basement continued as a quartet.

The second EP Unbreakable was released in May 2011. Six months later, the band was signed by Red Bull Records. In 2012 the band played concerts in the opening act for Halestorm , Seether and The Darkness and performed five times in Berlin alone . The debut album Filthy Empire was released on February 1, 2013.
