Heegheim is a district of the municipality Altenstadt in the Wetteraukreis in Hesse .

location

Heegheim is northeast of Altenstadt . Europastraße 41 passes to the west of the town . Otherwise there is no through traffic.

history

There was a chapel in the village as early as 1300 . Heegheim was first mentioned in a document on July 1, 1308 as Heegheimb . The chapel was replaced by a larger church in 1737 . It was completely destroyed and rebuilt in World War II . The school was built in 1682 and is used today as a village community center.

On December 31, 1971, Heegheim was incorporated into the Altenstadt community.
