The Heidweihergraben (called Steingraben on the upper course and Haidgraben on the middle course , upper and middle course can also be referred to as Wiesengraben ) is a left and eastern tributary of the Altmühl near Gunzenhausen in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The stream rises as a stone ditch on the northern outskirts of Frickenfelden . Not far from a sports field, it crosses State Road 2222 . Then there is a name change to Haidgraben , which flows along the edge of the Graefensteinberg forest . It crosses under the Altmühlüberleiter and flows into the Heidweiher north of Gunzenhausen.
