Heiko Borner
Heiko Börner (born September 24, 1965 ) is a German opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
After elementary school in Brandoberndorf, Börner attended the Christian Wirth School in Usingen and graduated from high school in 1985. After training in social security and studying business administration at the University of Gießen and the Distance University in Hagen , he began private vocal training and made his debut in the opera choir of the Lübeck Theater . After changing to the opera choir of the Frankfurt Opera , he began his first engagement as a soloist at the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater in Halberstadt . From 2004 to 2008 Heiko Börner was part of the ensemble of the Mainfrankentheater in Würzburg ; Here he sang a broad repertoire in Italian, French and German subjects, which since starting his freelance career in 2008 has increasingly concentrated on the formation of hero tenor roles. His repertoire includes the title roles in Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser and Lohengrin , Walther von Stolzing from the Meistersingers , Erik in the Flying Dutchman , Weber's Max in Freischütz , Puccini's Cavaradossi in Tosca , Laca in Janáček's Jenůfa and Albert Gregor in The Makropulos Affair , and Britten's Peter Grimes and the title role in Verdi's Otello .
Heiko Börner has made guest appearances at theaters in Bremen, Bremerhaven, Erfurt, Freiburg, Hof, Krefeld-Mönchengladbach, Lübeck, Staatstheater Nürnberg, Staatstheater Oldenburg, Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz / Munich, Staatstheater Schwerin, National Theater Weimar and the Värmlandsoperan in Karlstad / Sweden.
In the spring of 2016 he made his debut as Walther von Stolzing in Wagner's Meistersingern von Nürnberg at the Erfurt Theater and sang this role in the 2016/2017 season at the Landestheater Detmold and the Nationaltheater Weimar. The 2017/2018 season included his debut as Kaiser in Strauss' Frau ohne Schatten at the Landestheater Linz.
He lives in Hasselborn , Hesse , is married to the singer Anja Kaesmacher and has two sons.
