Heiko Bidmon (* 1982 in Nuremberg ) is a German jazz musician ( tenor and baritone saxophone , bass clarinet , also clarinet , soprano and alto saxophone , flute and oboe ).

Live and act

Bidmon received his first saxophone with his school bag and initially played in the wind orchestra ; There he also devoted himself to popular light music before he discovered jazz in community service . He studied jazz saxophone and bass clarinet first in Würzburg and then at the Cologne University of Music, where he graduated in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

In his own jazz projects, he increasingly concentrates on the lower woodwind instruments . In addition to his own trios, he leads a sextet dedicated to the music of John Kirby . He also belonged to Matthias Schriefl Six, Alps & Jazz , the Maxime Bender Orchestra , the Large Ensemble of Stefan Schultze , in Niels Klein Loom and Subway Jazz Orchestra , with the three albums emerged. He also worked as a theater musician in the Schauspiel Köln and is a member of the Bundeswehr Big Band . He is also a lecturer at various jazz workshops.
