He then studied with Lothar Hilbrand at the Vorarlberg State Conservatory , where he graduated with honors in 2004. Then he completed classical instrumental studies with Hans Gansch at the Mozarteum Salzburg . During his studies, Bär played in the university orchestra and in the ensembles Pro Brass , Sound Inn Brass and the Vorarlberg group Stella Brass , with whom he toured numerous times and performed in Russia and Southeast Asia in addition to Europe. Since 2001 he has belonged to the Holstuonarmusigbigbandclub , for which he also writes all the arrangements, to voXXclub , to Peter Madsen's formation CIA , to Matthias Schriefl's Six, Alps & Jazz and his Moving Krippenspielers, with whom he can be heard on a CD and to David Helbocks Random / Control , with which he recorded three albums.

Bär composed for the university orchestra of the Mozarteum as well as for the MaChlast brass band . He also set poems by the Vorarlberg dialect poet Gebhard Wölfle to music in pop style (released in 2005 on the CD old bat nü ).
