Heiko Jobst (born December 1, 1969 in Jena ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper .

Athletic career

BSG and club stations

In 1975 Jobst started playing soccer at BSG Chemie Jena in his hometown . Just a year later he moved to one of the main clubs in GDR football , FC Carl Zeiss Jena . There he was trained in the youth department by Roland Ducke and Konrad Weise , among others .

After failing to make the leap into the Oberligaelf at FC Carl Zeiss , in which Andreas Drechsler and Holger H Wunsch were nominated as additional keepers behind regular goalkeeper Perry Bräutigam for the 1988/89 season , Heiko Jobst moved to the second-rate league in the spring of 1989 . At BSG Motor Suhl he was used four times in the final phase of the 1988/89 season . In the turnaround season in the league 1989/90 he guarded the goal of the southern Thuringians in twelve games.

Selection bets

In the summer of 1987 he was at the youth competition of friendship in the goal of the U-18 of the GDR , which took 6th place in the neighboring country ČSSR . Less than a year later, the feich mechanic's apprentice, who was called up in three qualifying games, was part of the team at the Junior European Championships that won the bronze medal in July 1988 - also in the ČSSR. Behind regular goalkeeper Frank Schulze , however, the Jena player was not used. For the U-20 World Cup in 1989 , the HFC goalkeeper Thomas Weiß , who was nominated next to the Dresden Schulze, pushed him out of the DFV squad .
