Emel Heinreich
Emel Heinreich (born June 27, 1962 in Kayseri , Turkey ) is an Austrian director , writer , actress , dancer and mask carver of Turkish origin .
Life
Heinreich received her training in Istanbul , Vienna , and Paris with Ariane Mnouchkine at the Théâtre du Soleil, Malaysia and Indonesia . Her subsequent artistic activities, mainly for scene projects, range from performing stage work to writing scripts to directing and have received some national attention:
In 1996 Heinreich was seen in Here, There, Somewhere as an actress at the Wiener Festwochen .
In 1997 the project Mimpi Manis was created , an Austrian-Balinese mask and music theater based on an idea and a concept by Emel Heinreich, who also implemented the project for the performance in Vienna / Augarten as a director and actress. Rupert Huber and I Wayan Gde Yudane were involved in the project . After him, the film documentary IODO Improvisations to Mimpi Manis was created . In 1995 Heinreich worked as a dancer in the production Tujutaksu / Bali (director: Meru Matthari) after briefly studying the classical dances of Bali .
From 2006, the development of the "Wedding" project took place. The first sub-project “Forced Wedding” was carried out in March 2007. Due to its success, the project was later funded by the City of Vienna. The second sub-project, the play My Life to Me, was staged in November 2007. Felix Mitterer invited this performance to the Tyrolean Volksschauspiele 2008 and was put on the program of his 3-room anatomy theater by theater director Hubert Kramar in the same year . The project is intended to contribute to integration work and deals with the use of violence against women.
In January 2009, Heinreich was seen in the ORF crime scene episode Tree of Redemption as the mother of an alleged honor killing victim. She was also in front of the camera for a new episode in the series Kommissar Rex , which aired in the summer of 2009.
