Heinrich Beer , full name Heinrich Ferdinand Constantin Beer , (born February 26, 1829 in Gleiwitz , † March 20, 1926 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

Life

Beer was born as the son of the major of the Gendarmerie Ernst Beer and his wife Mathilde, née Elsner von Gronow, and grew up in Gleiwitz, and after his father was transferred to Opole , where he also graduated from high school in 1847 . At the beginning of the winter semester 1847/48 , Beer enrolled at the Silesian Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Breslau and took law and camera studies. Almost at the same time he became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau on October 21, 1847 . From April 1, 1849, he did military service as a one-year volunteer in the 6th Company of the 11th Infantry Regiment in Breslau.

After the state examination , he became an auscultator at the Opole District Court in October 1850 and in 1852 in Bromberg , where he also passed his legal trainee examination in September 1852. After working as a court trainee from 1852 to 1855, he was appointed court assessor in 1856 and in January 1856 he was employed as a public prosecutor's assistant in Inowraclaw .

On February 26, 1857, Beer signed the marriage of Margarethe Langenmeyer, from which two daughters emerged. In 1861 he was appointed public prosecutor and at the same time transferred to Kreuzburg . In 1867 he worked in the same position in Opole and finally in 1869 appointed as a judge at the district court in Bromberg.

In 1870/71 Beer took part in the Franco-German War as an officer and was promoted to major in the Landwehr . After returning from the war, he was still in 1871 a judge at the Court of Appeal Ratibor and 1875 President of the Imperial Court Disciplinary Chamber in Opole. In 1879 he was transferred to the Wroclaw Higher Regional Court . In 1881/1882 Beer was seconded as judge in the 1st auxiliary senate to the Reichsgericht Leipzig and from July 31, 1882 he was president of the district court in Liegnitz . His last professional transfer took place on April 1, 1885, when he became a judge at the Imperial Court of Leipzig as a member of the 5th Civil Senate , responsible for mining law. On May 1, 1909, Beer retired .

Awards

In the war of 1870/71, Beer received the Iron Cross II. Class and the Landwehr Service Award First Class. He was later awarded various degrees of the Order of the Red Eagle , most recently on May 1, 1909 with the star for the Order of the Red Eagle, 2nd class with oak leaves. In 1904 the law faculty of the University of Leipzig awarded him an honorary doctorate .
