Heinrich Brüne (born November 5, 1869 in Bonn , † May 1, 1945 in Oberpfaffenhofen near Weßling ) was a German painter.

Life

Laut came from a family of decorative painters.

Brüne attended elementary school from 1876 and grammar school from 1880. He was first a student at the Cologne School of Applied Arts, then the Hanover School of Applied Arts and Crafts . From October 19, 1891, he studied painting at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Otto Seitz , then also under Wilhelm von Diez and Alexander Wagner .

From 1895 he worked as a painter, mainly in the genres of portrait, nude and landscape painting. His painting style is described as following the Impressionist tradition of Leibl and Wilhelm Trübner . From 1905 to 1914 he participated several times in the exhibitions organized by the "Bonn Society for Literature and Art" in the Villa Obernier , an extension of the Bonn City Museum. From 1904 he also exhibited regularly as a member of the Luitpold Group in the Munich Glass Palace , where he had already shown a nude picture in 1898 .

In 1907 Heinrich Brüne bought a piece of land in the village of Oberpfaffenhofen near Weßling, built a residential and studio house on it and moved in with his wife Sophie in 1908. In May 1914, Brüne took part in an exhibition organized by the “Bonner Künstlervereinigung”.

In 1919 he became a member of the New Munich Secession , later he joined the German Association of Artists . Heinrich Brüne showed a landscape painting at the DKB anniversary exhibition in 1929 ( 25 years of the German Association of Artists ).
