Heinrich Deiters (writer)
Heinrich Deiters (born May 26, 1882 in Altona ; † June 9, 1971 in Hamburg ) was a German journalist and freelance writer who, in addition to novels , also wrote stage works and radio plays .
Life
Deiters first completed an apprenticeship as a druggist and then worked as a freelancer in this profession for 23 years. Then he turned to writing and alternated between editor and journalist. In 1927 he came to NORAG , where he worked as a permanent employee. In addition, he worked for a number of years as a lecturer for Low German language and poetry at the adult education center in Hamburg-Altona.
As a writer, he wrote works in both Low German and High German. His plays were performed, for example, at the Ernst-Drucker-Theater , the later St. Pauli-Theater and the Niederdeutsche Bühne Hamburg , from which the Ohnsorg-Theater emerged after the Second World War .
For his piece Moderspraak 23 from 1936 he was awarded the Richard Ohnsorg Prize of the Wandsbek city administration the following year . Deiters died in Hamburg at the age of 89.
